- Pump head structure: It mostly adopts a double-layer pump casing structure, the casing is vertically split, and the water outlet can be installed in 8 positions at 45° intervals. There is a labyrinth gap seal between the impeller and the rear guard plate, the impeller is equipped with back blades, and a disassembly ring is provided for easy maintenance.

- Bracket structure: It is generally horizontally split, optimized from the hydraulic and structural design, reasonably distributes radial force and axial force, and selects suitable bearing form, model and cooling and lubrication methods to extend the service life of the bearing.

- Shaft seal form: Common ones include auxiliary impeller plus packing seal, which uses the pressure head generated by the auxiliary impeller to resist liquid leakage, and at the same time, the impeller cover is equipped with back blades, water seal rings and packing to prevent air entry and impurities from invading.

Working Principle

The motor drives the pump shaft and impeller to rotate at high speed. The blades on the impeller generate thrust and pull on the slurry, which enables the slurry to gain energy. Under the action of centrifugal force, the slurry is thrown from the center of the impeller to the outer edge, forming a high-pressure area and discharged from the pump outlet. At the same time, a low-pressure area is formed in the center of the impeller, so that the slurry can be continuously sucked into the pump to achieve continuous transportation.

Performance Parameters

Flow rate: a wide range, small mining slurry pumps have a flow rate of tens of cubic meters per hour, and large ones can reach thousands of cubic meters, such as the flow rate of 12/10G-G mining slurry pumps is 360-1440m³/h.

Lift: varies according to different models and working conditions, generally from a few meters to tens of meters or even hundreds of meters, for example, the lift of 150ZJ-60 slurry pump is 14.7-63.5m.

Speed: usually several hundred to several thousand revolutions per minute. The speed affects the performance of the pump such as flow, head and efficiency. For example, the speed of the mining sand suction pump slurry pump is 1440rps/2990rps.

Material selection

Material of flow-through parts: impeller, pump body, front guard plate, rear guard plate and other flow-through parts are mostly made of high chromium alloy or wear-resistant alloy steel with a hardness of not less than 58HRC. Stainless steel and other materials can also be selected according to demand

Mining slurry pumps have the following advantages:

Strong wear resistance: The flow parts are made of wear-resistant materials such as high chromium alloy and wear-resistant alloy steel, which can resist the erosion and wear of solid particles in the slurry, extend the service life of the pump, and reduce the cost of maintenance and replacement.

2. Good corrosion resistance: Some slurries are corrosive. Mining slurry pumps can use corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel, or use special anti-corrosion coatings to effectively resist corrosion and ensure that the pump operates stably in harsh slurry environments.

3. High efficiency and energy saving: By optimizing the design of the impeller and pump body, the hydraulic performance of the mining slurry pump is good, which can achieve higher efficiency when conveying slurry, reduce energy consumption, and save operating costs.

4. Large flow and high head: It can meet the slurry transportation needs under different working conditions in mines, whether it is large-scale slurry discharge or conveying slurry to a higher position, such as from underground to the ground, it can operate reliably.

5. Stable operation: The structural design is reasonable, and the key components such as bearing components have reliable performance, can withstand large axial and radial forces, have low vibration and low noise during operation, can work stably for a long time, and reduce the downtime caused by failures.

6. Strong anti-blocking ability: The flow channel design of the impeller and the pump body is spacious, and it is not easy to be blocked by lumps or fibrous materials in the slurry, and can work normally even in slurry containing large particles.

7. Strong adaptability: The pump speed, flow rate, head and other parameters can be flexibly adjusted according to different mining processes and slurry properties, and can also adapt to various complex working conditions by changing the material and structure of the flow-through components.

Shell material: generally cast iron or cast steel is used, which has good strength and wear      

resistance and can withstand the pressure and impact of slurry.

Application scenario

It is mainly used for slurry transportation and tailings discharge in ore dressing plants in the mining industry, such as conveying the slurry after grinding to flotation, magnetic separation and other ore dressing equipment, and conveying tailings to tailings ponds; it is also used for coal slurry transportation in coal mines and heavy medium transportation in coal washing plants.
