Single Suction And Double Suction Pump
Large flow rate: There are suction ports on both sides of the impeller, which can suck liquid from two directions at the same time. Compared with the single-suction pump, the flow rate can be increased by about one-fold at the same impeller diameter and speed, which is suitable for large flow demand scenarios such as water supply and drainage, farmland irrigation, etc.
- Good anti-cavitation performance: Due to the double-suction structure, the flow rate at the impeller inlet is low, which reduces the possibility of cavitation and extends the service life of the pump.
The working principle of the double-suction centrifugal pump is based on the action of centrifugal force, and the core process is as follows:
1. Startup and liquid suction: After the pump is started, the impeller rotates at high speed, and the liquid in the impeller is thrown to the edge of the impeller under the action of centrifugal force and enters the flow channel in the pump casing. At this time, a low-pressure area is formed in the center of the impeller, and the external liquid is sucked into the center of the impeller through the suction ports on both sides under the action of atmospheric pressure to complete the liquid suction process.
2. Liquid pressure and output: After the liquid thrown to the edge of the impeller enters the pump casing, the flow channel gradually expands, the flow rate decreases, and the kinetic energy is converted into pressure energy, so that the liquid obtains sufficient pressure and is finally transported to the designated location through the outlet pipe of the pump.
In simple terms, it is through the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the impeller, and the liquid is sucked from both sides at the same time and discharged under pressure, thereby realizing the liquid delivery. Its double-suction structure makes the liquid suction efficiency higher and can meet the needs of larger flow rates.
